After years of dancing around the subject, it looks like Twitter is finally ready to give the people what they’ve wanted for the longest time.
An edit button, Set to follow in the steps of its neighbors, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc. Who have all had the edit feature for the longest time, and with a push from world-famous Elon Musk, Twitter is finally ready to start testing a feature that’ll allow users to edit their tweets for up to 30 minutes after hitting send.
How is this related to Literature? You might be wondering. It’s not, at least not directly. But if this feature does float, I envision a world where more writers become willing to engage in short-form stories via Twitter threads. The days of storytellers being afraid to re-compose a Twitter thread because of a sneaky typo error that made its way to the final product may just become a thing of the past. That means more stories for the community to read.
How do you feel about this edit button news from Twitter?
