What is PalmPay Recharge2Cash?
Recharge2Cash is a safe, fast, and easy way to convert your excess airtime to cash.
You pay a convenience fee to use this feature. A convenience fee is a small fee charged when you convert your airtime to cash on PalmPay using the Recharge2Cash feature.
You can convert anything from 50 nairas to N5,000 to 100,000 nairas in a day.
To sell or convert airtime to cash, follow the instructions below:
- Click the Recharge2Cash icon on the PalmPay homepage,
- Enter the mobile number you would like to share,
- Log in to the page with the MTN OTP sent to your phone,
- Choose or enter the amount you would like to share,
- Confirm the amount you would get after the service fee deduction,
- Enter the MTN Share Airtime PIN and wait for the funds which will be transferred to your PalmPay account.
Palmpay Recharge2Cash FAQ
Why can’t I use convert airtime to cash through PalmPay Recharge2Cash even after setting the Airtime PIN?
(1)If your MTN prepaid account does not have enough airtime to cover the amount you have requested to transfer, the transaction will not be completed and you will receive an error message.
(2)The minimum amount that can be converted to cash is N50. You can transfer between N50.00 and N5,000.00 in a single transaction.
(3)The airtime transfer service is designed to enable subscribers to share airtime only within their network. i.e. only MTN to MTN.
(4)You can only transfer credit for a whole number of Naira amounts without a kobo, i.e. you can transfer N71.00 but not N71.99.
(5)If you are a postpaid customer, you will only be able to transfer airtime when your account is positive. You will not be able to transfer airtime when your account is negative (-). For example, if your account balance is N-300.00.
Is there a limit to the amount of airtime I can convert to money in a day?
For MTN mobiles, You’re only allowed to convert between N50 – N5,000 in a single transaction and a total of N100,000 in a day.
Does PalmPay Recharge2Cash work for all networks?
At the moment the recharge2cash feature is only available to MTN subscribers. Other networks coming soon.
I successfully converted my airtime but the money hasn’t been credited to my account yet
The payment may be delayed due to a network issue. Do contact a customer care agent with all the details of the transaction and we will have it resolved as soon as possible.
Where can I find my money after the airtime sale? How long will it take?
You can check your PalmPay balance to confirm payment after you’ve successfully converted your airtime to cash. Payment will be made within 2 hours of sale completion.
