You can never run out of airtime again if you know how to purchase airtime from your mobile network/internet service provider. One odd thing (though understandable) about borrowing airtime from mtn, glo, airtel and 9mobile is that how much airtime you are allow to borrow depends on often you recharge monthly and how long you have been on the network.

How to Borrow Airtime on MTN Nigeria

MTN may tell you the service is available to all, but the truth is only subscribers that recharge at least 500 naira enjoy it most of the time.

Some lucky subscribers are able to borrow credit on mtn network without recharging close to N500 monthly.

To borrow credit from mtn , dial *606# and follow the prompt. Reply with 1 to check eligibility, 2 to request for airtime, 3 to check borrowed credit balance, 4 for your xtratime history, 5 to learn more about mtn xtratime and 6 to exit.

The minimum amount you can borrow is 50 naira and you will be charge 10% of the borrowed amount. If you borrow N100, you will be credited with 90 naira.

How to Borrow Airtime on Glo Nigeria

Before Glo can borrow you airtime, you must have been on their network for about 4 month. But again, there are lucky people out there that nobody says No to.

You can borrow up to the highest amount you have recharged since you activated your line/sim/number.

Dial *321*amount#. For example to borrow N500 from glo, dial *321*500#. You will be credited with 450 naira. They also removes 10% as service charges.

How to Borrow Credit on 9mobile Nigeria

To borrow credit from 9mobile network, dial *665*amount#. For example to borrow N1000 worth of airtime, dial *665*1000#.

They also incur a 10% bank charges. Meaning you will be credited 900 for that 1000 naira you requested for.

9mobile Nigeria might only borrow you airtime, if you have a N900 as your minimum recharge monthly.

How to Borrow Airtime on Airtel Nigeria

Just like Glo, you must be an active subscriber for about three month before you can borrow credit from airtel network. Also, you must load a minimum amount of 250 naira monthly.

Dial *500*amount# to request for airtime from airtel network. For example to borrow credit of like N100, dial *500*100#. You will be credited with 90 naira and N10 removed as service charges.
